Azam Jafari is the Director and Principal Migration Advisor at AJ Migration Consultants, based in Chatswood, NSW. With over 12 years of experience in Australian migration law, Azam brings a wealth of knowledge, cultural understanding, and a strong commitment to supporting migrants throughout their journey.

Azam migrated to Australia in 1998 on a partner visa and, like many migrants, faced the challenges of adapting to a new culture and environment. This personal experience has deeply informed her empathetic and client-focused approach to migration consulting.

Azam began her professional career as an Educational Consultant in Iran after completing her Law degree (LL.B) at Tehran National University. Driven by her passion for social justice and academic achievement, Azam went on to complete a Master’s Degree in International Relations at Macquarie University in 2012. She has worked extensively with NGOs and asylum seekers in detention centres, gaining valuable insight into the complexities of humanitarian and protection visa pathways.

In 2014, Azam completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Australian Migration Law and Practice from Victoria University, officially qualifying her to provide professional migration advice in Australia. Since then, she has successfully represented hundreds of clients in a wide range of migration matters, including applications before the Department of Home Affairs and the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), achieving a high success rate.

Azam is a registered member of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (MARA) and the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA). As a Justice of the Peace, she brings credibility and trust to her professional services. Fluent in both English and Farsi, Azam provides personalised migration advice and support to a diverse range of clients, ensuring culturally sensitive and linguistically accessible assistance tailored to each individual's needs.
