Sousan Gholami is the first former Afghan Refugee to be admitted as a Lawyer in Tasmania and she is a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 1803138).

Sousan lived in Iran for eleven years before settling in Tasmania. She has travelled to Iran and Afghanistan on several occasions and speaks Persian and Dari fluently.

As a Lawyer and Migration Agent Sousan can manage a client’s case from start to finish from the initial visa application process through to the appeals process. This provides her clients with continuity of care and approach.

Sousan can provide advice in other areas of the law in particular, criminal law. During her legal career, Sousan has regularly appeared before the Magistrates Courts and the Supreme Courts of Tasmania on wide range of criminal matters.

Her ability to also speak Farsi (Persian) and Dari will be an advantage for clients from those backgrounds.
